The ELEMNT ACE is the largest and most powerful computer Wahoo makes. The 3.8in TFT touchscreen is the headline — it is a genuinely big display, and the difference between glancing at a data field and squinting at one is the difference between a computer you trust mid-effort and one you fight with.
Underneath it is specified like a small tablet: 64GB of storage, 2GB of RAM, dual-band GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0 and ANT+. Dual-band matters if you ride in cities or wooded valleys, where single-band units drift and lose the line. The 30-hour battery covers any day ride and most of an ultra.
Who this suits
Riders who want one device to handle everything — navigation, structured workouts, sensors, and a screen large enough to read without stopping. If you have found smaller computers frustrating to navigate, or you route-plan and want a map you can actually follow, this is the answer.
For indoor training it pairs with a trainer over ANT+ or Bluetooth and records the session independently of your training app, which is a useful backup when Zwift or TrainerRoad drops out mid-interval.
Who should look elsewhere
If you race and care about frontal area, the ELEMNT BOLT 3 is smaller, lighter and designed to sit tight to the bars. At 208g the ACE is not a weight-weenie choice. And if you train almost entirely indoors, be honest about whether you need a bike computer at all — your trainer already measures power and cadence, and a heart rate strap plus your training app covers the rest for far less.

Will it control my smart trainer?
It pairs with trainers over ANT+ FE-C and Bluetooth and can run structured workouts through them. For Zwift you would still use a phone, tablet or computer for the visuals.
What does dual-band GPS actually change?
Position accuracy in difficult conditions — city centres with tall buildings, dense tree cover, deep valleys. On open roads a single-band unit is fine.
Is the touchscreen usable with gloves?
Yes with most cycling gloves, and there are physical buttons for the functions you need mid-effort so you are not forced to use the screen at speed.
Do I need a separate mount?
Check what is in your box — we can advise on ACE-specific out-front and integrated bar mounts, which differ from the ROAM and BOLT fittings.
