Wahoo TRACKR RADAR Tail Light and Radar

TRACKR RADAR is a rear light and a radar in one unit. It watches the road behind you and warns you about approaching vehicles up to 150m back, showing the alert on your bike computer so you know a car is coming before you hear it.

If you have not used rear radar before, it changes road riding more than any other accessory. Not because it makes you safer in a mechanical sense, but because it removes the constant low-level task of listening and looking back. You ride more relaxed, and you know when to move out and when to hold your line.

The light side is properly specified too: dual LEDs, a brake light function that brightens under deceleration, a quick-alert flash pattern that fires when a vehicle enters the detection zone, and a battery extender mode that dims when there is nothing behind you. Those behaviours can be switched off in the Wahoo app to comply with local traffic rules.

Who this suits

Anyone riding on roads, particularly alone, on rural lanes with fast traffic, or in poor light. It is the accessory most likely to change how you feel about a route rather than how fast you ride it.

Who can skip it

If you train indoors, it does nothing at all. If you ride mainly on traffic-free paths, the light is good but the radar is wasted. And it needs a compatible head unit to show alerts — a Wahoo ELEMNT, or a compatible computer or fitness watch. Without one you have an expensive tail light.

It pairs cleanly with the ELEMNT BOLT 3, ROAM 3 and ACE, which can also control the light hands-free over ANT+. If you use a different brand of computer, email us and we will check compatibility before you order.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a Wahoo computer?

You need a compatible head unit to see the alerts. ELEMNT computers work fully, including hands-free light control. Some other computers and watches are supported — ask us with your model.

Does it detect bikes as well as cars?

It is designed for motor vehicles. Bikes are much smaller radar targets and it is not a reliable warning for a rider coming past.

Can I turn off the brake light and quick alert?

Yes, both are switchable in the Wahoo app, which matters where local rules restrict flashing or variable lights.

Is it any use indoors?

No. This is a road accessory.
